I have to admit, I’ve never really thought more than 5 years ahead, which is why this article got me thinking:
“..millions of people alive today will be there as 2100 arrives, inheriting the century my generation will leave behind. All the decisions we make, for better and worse, will be theirs to live with."
This really struck a cord for me, especially because my son is likely to be alive in 2100, celebrating his 83rd birthday.
Our short term focus is civilizations greatest threat. It’s the root cause of the challenges we are facing today such as climate change, loss of species, pollution, water scarcity and soil degradation.
As I plan for the year ahead this has certainly given me a new perspective and has made me even more determined to make a much bigger impact through Patch to Table.
