The worlds biggest lemons? You won’t believe it!

This year my lemon tree has gone bananas. But I wasn't expecting it to also go Pumpkins!

Wow that's confusing. Too many fruits and vegetables in one sentence.

Let me explain.

My lemon tree has produced a huge amount of lemons from a small 2 meter tree. They just keep coming! There's not just lots of them, they are some of the biggest and juiciest lemons I have ever seen.

On top of lemons, I also got an unexpected bonus. Pumpkins!

They weren't planned. But this is what I ended up with:

They started growing under the lemon tree and I let them grow.

Now I realise they are the perfect combination.

  • Pumpkins are a vine which naturally climb, so the pumpkins love it.
  • Stacking plant like this makes efficient use of space. Pumpkins and lemons growing in the same 2 meter space.

The end result is a super productive space in my backyard. The amount of food I got from this little 2 meter corner of my garden is incredible. Bucket and buckets of lemons and 6 large pumpkins.

Have you stacked plants in this way? I would love to hear about it in the comments below.
